Research Interests
Dr. Yuka Imamura is director of Penn State College of Medicine's genome sciences facility. The facility provides a range of genetic, epigenetic and transcriptomic technologies to researchers from across Penn State. In addition to overseeing day-to-day operation of the facility, Dr. Imamura collaborates with a variety of biomedical researchers to aid in successful completion of their research projects.
She is also involved in University-wide efforts in genomics and personalized medicine, including research in conjunction with Penn State Clinical and Translational Science Institute, Penn State Cancer Institute, Penn State Heart and Vascular Institute and the Huck Institutes for the Life Sciences. She plays a key role in promoting the application of genomics research in medical science and in stimulating translational and clinical research into personalized health care.
