Charu S. Sharma, MD

Prior to joining St. Joseph Medical Center, Dr. Charu Sharma, a board-certified radiation oncologist, served as the medical director of radiation oncology for South County Hospital, Wakefield, R.I. In addition, she spent six years with UPMC Williamsport Divine Providence Campus, Williamsport, Pa. After completing a radiation oncology residency with New York–Presbyterian Columbia University Irving Medical Center, New York City, she served two years as assistant professor of radiation oncology at Virtua Fox Chase Cancer Center, Sewell, N.J. A graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, Farmington, Conn., Sharma also holds both a master’s degree in nutritional science and a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Connecticut.
