Dr. Jeffrey S. Scow is a colorectal surgeon at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and an assistant professor of surgery in the Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery. After earning his Bachelor of Science degree with high honors at Idaho State University, he obtained his medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, NE. Dr. Scow completed his residency in general surgery, a clinical fellowship in colon and rectal surgery and a research fellowship in gastrointestinal physiology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.

He served in the U.S. Naval Medical Corp from 2013 to 2017, obtaining the rank of lieutenant commander, and was deployed as a general surgeon on the USS San Diego. Dr. Scow's military honors include the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal. He has authored multiple peer-reviewed articles and delivered many oral and poster presentations on a variety of surgical topics. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
