I am the director of thoracic radiation oncology and co-director of the Spine Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy Program at Penn State Cancer Institute. I also serve as an assistant professor of radiation oncology at Penn State College of Medicine and am an active member of our Genitourinary Radiation Oncology Program and research team.

I was drawn to the field of oncology at a young age based on personal family experiences with cancer. My family often left doctor appointments with even more questions about the diagnosis and what to expect. Now, I work hard to educate my patients and their families so they have a clear understanding of the illness, treatment options and the risks and benefits of all approaches.

I also work with NRG Oncology, a scientific cancer research organization based in Philadelphia. Through the Lung Cancer and Genitourinary committees, I contribute to clinical trials that will improve survival and quality of life for patients with these cancers. Additionally, I serve as the interim vice chair of diversity, equity and belonging in the Penn State College of Medicine Department of Radiation Oncology, collaborating on projects to promote diversity initiatives on our Hershey campus and ensure equitable access to care for patients of all backgrounds.

I am also very involved with teaching medical students and radiology, surgery and pulmonology residents and fellows. Outside of work, you can find me coloring with chalk in my driveway.
